The problem

The previous Hgrid 247 workflow builder felt rigid and hard to use. This redesign reimagines it as a clean, modern, step-by-step experience — making the act of building a data workflow easy to follow, so users feel confident and satisfied with the new UI.

Method & approach

Started from the stakeholder brief and worked to fully understand it. I used Claude to generate a guide.md that translated the brief into context an AI agent could reason over, then wrote a design.md so every design prompt stayed consistent with the system — and iterated on the output until it felt right. Roughly 70% of this project ran through an AI-assisted workflow.

Business process

Behind the work is a straightforward business goal: the old interface's stiff, dated feel didn't match the product. Redesigning it toward a clean, elegant, professional look repositions Hgrid 247 as a modern data-engineering tool teams actually want to open.

Goals & outcome

Raise users’ interest in reaching for the tool and make it genuinely easy to use. The project is still ongoing, so there aren’t final outcome metrics yet — but the new direction reframes workflow-building as something clear and approachable rather than intimidating.
