The problem

Traditional insurance in Indonesia required users to physically meet an agent, fill out paper forms, and wait through an opaque process — creating high barriers for lower-middle income users who needed coverage the most. There was no clear, simple way to understand what was covered, file a claim, or track its status without human assistance.

Method & approach

Worked directly from the brief with a focus on the target audience: lower-middle income users unfamiliar with financial jargon or multi-step digital flows. Ran brainstorming sessions to map the full user journey — from awareness to claim settlement — then wireframed and animated key interactions to validate the conversational bot approach before moving to high-fidelity screens.
